UFOLKS is the local chapter of the Organization of American Kodaly Educators (OAKE). Our mission is to support educators develop and enhance musical experiences for our children. We seek to:
• Develop the innate musicality in each child.
• Develop music literacy—the ability to think, read, write, and create music.
• Impart a sense of cultural identity through the use of folk music.
• Make available to the children the great art music of the world.
